The Gardiner Library, River and Mountain Midwives and the Midwives Alliance of NY will host a screening of the film Born in the USA in the Gardiner Library Community Room on Monday, January 11 at 7 PM. A panel discussion based on the film will follow.

"Born in the USA" is the first public television documentary to provide an in-depth look at childbirth in America. It offers a fascinating overview of birthing in America, beginning with the early days of our country, through the increase in medical intervention, to the present resurgence of midwifery and family-centered birth options.
